Marmalade Library Branch
MOCA Services was retained as the Owner’s Representative for the Marmalade Branch Library, a two-story, 19,000 square foot public library with concrete footings, foundations and grade beams, load-bearing steel columns, and beams as the primary structural system. Exterior cladding includes zinc panels, ultra-high-performance concrete cladding, weathered steel panels, and a terra cotta baguette sunscreen.
The project was designed to achieve LEED-Silver Certification from the U.S. Green Building Council’s Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design (LEED) Rating System, including the use of LED lights and occupancy room sensors.
“The city library is just really proud of the role we play in Salt Lake City, and doing this, bringing a branch to one more neighborhood in Salt Lake City, is just going to let us keep fulfilling our mission.”
John Spears, Executive Director of the Salt Lake City Public Library
