MERR Canyon Ranch Booster Station
MOCA Services supported cost estimating and planning for a new booster pump station and ground storage tank (GST) within a residential development in New Braunfels, Texas, expected to include approximately 1,500 homes. The booster station will increase water pressure to serve higher elevations across the community.
The facilities include a pump station building with two 900-gallon-per-minute pumps, a GST to feed the system, electrical supply, standby power generation, and integrated instrumentation and controls (I&C) with radio communications. All systems will be housed in a split-faced masonry structure.
MOCA Services evaluated alternatives for the planned GST and provided guidance on criteria and timing for a future elevated storage tank (EST). The team also prepared a detailed cost estimate incorporating inflation, tariff impacts, reduced productivity assumptions, local equipment rates, and escalation. Contingency and supervision and overhead factors were also included to support competitive bidding and cost clarity.
This project demonstrates how disciplined cost engineering and infrastructure planning can support reliable utility delivery in growing communities.
